Handover of Ermine Grove, Broughton

T.G. Sowerby Developments' latest project has been successfully handed back to ONGO Homes

The Project saw 'Ermine Grove', formerly supported living accommodation which had been redundant for several years, demolished and the site regenerated with the construction of 13 new semi-detached and terraced bungalows.

The bungalows were built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 and incorporated ecological features for birds and a new home for the bats who had to be evicted (by a qualified ecologist with a license from Natural England) from Ermine Grove, prior to its demolition.

Chris Sowerby, the Site Manager and a director of TG Sowerby Developments Limited, said "We built up an excellent relationship with the people living around the site and the feedback we have received from them throughout has been extremely positive (and in the case of the kind donation of a tub of sweets for the lads - delicious!). The feedback at handover was that the project was outstanding and I am immensely proud of my team for the standard and quality of build which they have delivered. This project has created permanent employment opportunities within our Company and I have had several Apprentices join my team and the project has been an opportunity for them to start and develop their practical skills, working alongside and learning from tradesmen. This was a superb development and showcases the excellent standard and quality of projects which we deliver."
